Carolina School Services Is Growing: Introducing Our New Wake Forest Clinic

Carolina School Services has a surprise we’ve been so excited to share.

For years, Carolina School Services has been right here in North Carolina classrooms, supporting thousands of children as they grow, learn, and thrive. From speech therapy lessons using building blocks to occupational therapy that helps little hands master big tasks, we’ve had a front-row seat to some truly incredible breakthroughs.

Now, we’re thrilled to share what’s next.

Carolina School Services is expanding into a brand new clinic location in Wake Forest, opening in early March.

Why We’re So Excited About This

Supporting children and families has always been at the heart of everything we do. Every milestone your child reaches, every confidence boost, every “I can do it” moment fuels our mission.

Opening this clinic allows us to serve our community in an even bigger way while continuing to provide the individualized, child-centered care families know and trust. We’re also excited to expand how we support you—by introducing several new services so we can help meet all of the needs your child and family may have, including academic support, emotional regulation, and parent–child success.

Our new therapy space is designed with children in mind and includes:

• Multiple therapy rooms for one-on-one sessions

• A sensory gym for movement and motor skill development

• Dedicated sensory rooms, including a dark sensory space

• Group activity areas for children who benefit from more room to play, move, and learn together

  
  

Therapy and Educational Services We Offer

We provide a range of therapy and educational services for children both in and out of the classroom, supporting families throughout Wake Forest and surrounding North Carolina communities.

Speech & Language Therapy

We help children find their voice. Whether your child is working on speech clarity, language development, fluency, or social communication, our licensed speech-language pathologists create personalized therapy plans that meet them exactly where they are.

Occupational Therapy

From buttoning shirts and holding pencils to managing sensory challenges, occupational therapy helps children build the skills they need for everyday life. Sessions are engaging, supportive, and tailored to each child’s unique needs.

Psychoeducational Testing – NEW!

This is something truly special. Our comprehensive psychoeducational testing helps families better understand how their child thinks, learns, and processes the world around them. Families receive clear, compassionate guidance and a roadmap to support their child at home, in school, and beyond.

Social + Self-Regulation Group - NEW!

Our Social Skills Group gives children a safe, encouraging place to practice the skills they’re learning in therapy—just with a few friends their age. Groups include 4–6 kids who are working on similar goals, so everyone is learning together.

With support from a counselor, children get real‑life practice using coping skills, communicating with others, and navigating everyday social situations. They also receive helpful feedback from peers in a positive, guided environment. This small‑group setting helps kids build confidence and makes it easier for them to use these skills at home, at school, and in their daily lives.

Parent and Child individual Counseling - NEW!

In individual counseling, your child meets one‑on‑one with a counselor who helps them build healthy coping skills and work toward their personal goals. Sessions are tailored to your child’s needs and take place in a caring, supportive space where they can feel comfortable opening up and learning new strategies.

We also partner closely with parents. You’ll receive updates about how your child is doing, ideas for supporting progress at home, and guidance on simple behavior or routine changes that can make a big difference. Our goal is to support your child—and your whole family—every step of the way.

Academic Support Services - NEW!

Individualized Reading & Math Support is provided by qualified education professionals using a multi-sensory, data-driven approach. We meet your child where they are and build a customized program to fit their exact needs—helping them gain skills and confidence as they grow.
